Choco-Dot Pumpkin Bread

This sweet bread, originally a bundt cake recipe, is a family tradition. Folks have probably gotten tired of me saying it’s a 3-time overall cake division winner at the Almond Blossom Festival Bake-Off in my hometown of Ripon, California: my oldest sister, myself a couple years later, and our oldest son almost 20 years after that. It is moist and substantial and interspersed with semisweet chocolate, enough to complement the pumpkin but not compete with it. Gets better with age, just like farmers.
